Berit
Skirstad (Norway)
Berit Skirstad is an Associate Professor
in Sport Management at the Norwegian University of Sport and
Physical Education in Oslo. She has been active in many volunteer
board positions nationally and internationally (orienteering
and sport for all) and was a member of the Executive Board
of the International Council of Sport Science and Physical
Education (ICSSPE) for many years. From 1987 to 1991, Ms.
Skirstad was the President of the Norwegian Sport Research
Association and she was responsible for organizing national
and international conferences including: European Sports Conference
Oslo 1991, and "Investment in Women's sport - Pays Off"
2001 in Lillehammer). Ms. Skirstad was involved in the Norwegian
Women Project in sport from 1995 to 2000. She has been a member
of the Steering Group of European Women and Sport 1998 to
2002 and the Executive Board of the European Association for
Sport Management. |
