Danièle Salva (France)
Danièle Salva has been working at
the French Ministry of Youth and Sport for 25 years and in
the Department of Sport for seven years. She is currently
responsible for the relations between the Sport Department
and the multi-sport federations, which are particularly focusing
on sport for all. Her primary role is to set common goals
with these federations and decide together on the attribution
of government contributions. She is also responsible for the
implementation of sport policy concerning persons with a disability
or socially disadvantaged. She was part of the Women and Sport
Committee set up by Marie-George Buffet, as the Chair of the
Group "Femmes, Sports, Insertion". On April 21,
2002, Ms. Salva took on the position of Secretary General
of the European Women and Sport Group (EWS) for the two-year
period of France's leadership. She received a physical education
teaching degree in 1971 and received her Masters in Economics
in 1977. Ms. Salva competed in athletics and swimming at the
national level. |
